High Purity 3D Printing Alloy CoCrW Powder
3D Printing Alloy CoCrW Powder, one of the Stellite Alloys. Stellite alloys are hard alloys that can withstand wear, corrosion, and high-temperature oxide. CoCrW has a smooth, spherical surface.
CoCrW Powder for 3D Printing:
3D Printing Alloy CoCrW Powder comes from the Stellite Alloys. Stellite Alloys are resistant to wear, corrosion, and high-temperature oxygenation. Also known as cobalt-based metal. Stellite is initially a binary alloy of cobalt with chromium, and then developed into a ternary alloy of cobalt with chromium plus tungsten. Cobalt is the main component of this alloy, which also contains chromium, tantalum, nickel, molybdenum and silicon. They can be made as welding wire, powders used for hard surfacing and thermal spraying as well as powder metallurgy and powder parts.
The basic composition of cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy is: Co:50%~58%,Cr:28%~30%,W:4%~6%,Ni:2%~4% and other alloy composition, melting point is 1470.As can be seen from the composition of the alloy, the cobalt and tungsten content of the alloy are very high, which makes the material has excellent high-temperature performance and has poor thermal conductivity. These are the characteristics of cobalt chromium tungsten in the process of grinding. Sparks are very dark, there is a small number, and the metal on the workpiece's surface can easily block the grinding wheel. As a result, grinding conditions rapidly deteriorate. What is
3D Printing Alloy CrW Powder
produced?
The waste iron is heated to melting point and then eight different raw materials are added, including cobalt and chromium. Next, the temperature of the solution is reduced from 1150-1200degC and is treated for 40-60min. Finally, it is returned to 880-970degC and aged for 2-3h.
Applications of 3D-Printing Alloy CrW Powder
:
CoCrW Powder is a rough, high-temperature alloy capable of resisting wear and corrosion. They can be transformed into welding wires or powders for substrates with hard surfaces, thermal sprays and sprays depending on their composition. These alloys can also be used to make castings, forgings or powder metallurgy components.
The powder of COCRW can be used for additive manufacturing using laser/electron rays (SLM/EBM), in powder metallurgy, spraying, weldng and other processes. The powder can be used to 3D print biomedical material such as artificial joints, teeth, body supports and other materials.
Cobalt-CrW is used widely in locomotives, nuclear power plants, Marine engines, and aircraft.
Earlier cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloys were made by non-vacuum melting and casting. The production of later alloys like MAR-M509 which contains active elements zirconium or boron is done by vacuum smelting.
Generally, cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy lacks a uniform strengthening phase. The strength of the alloy is lower at medium temperature, only 50-75% as high as that of nickel based alloys. However, it has good strength, thermal fatigue resistance and thermal corrosion resistance. It can be used for the manufacture of guide vanes and nozzle vanes of aviation jet engines, gas turbines in industrial applications, naval gas generators, and nozzles.
CoCrW Powder Storage Conditions:
CoCrW should not be exposed air. The powder must be kept in a dry and cool room. CoCrW Powder should not be exposed to stress.
Packing & Shipping of CoCrW:
We offer a variety of different packing options depending on the CoCrW Powder Quantity.
CoCrW powder packaging: vacuum packed, 100g/bag, 500g/bag or 1kg/bag. 25kg/barrel or your request.
CoCrW powder can be shipped via air, sea or express.
