How Bismuth Bi powder is produced ?
For bismuth powder production, it is better to use freshly prepared A-Bi2O3. To do this, reduce the solution with a mix of molecular and atomic hydrogen at 220C. A reduction reaction between a-Bi2O3 and a-3-Bi took place, without the formation any intermediate phase.
Bismuth powder may also be produced using such methods as mechanical comminution and electrolysis at high current densities of nitrate or sulfate solution, electrolysis with methyl alcohol and glacial acid of BiCl3; electrolysis with BiBr3 (molten A1Cl3), reduction of aqueous solutions in bismuth sodium salts by various agents, cathodic reductions of bismuth dioxide.
