Vanadium Boride also known as vanadium Diboride has a hexagonal crystalline structure and a melting temperature of 2980. It also has a high oxidation temprature, a good hardness, and a large melting point. VB2 was found to have a Gaver’s hardness of 27.8 +-1.5 GPa. It also had a high temperature stability in air and the highest resistivity (41 mOcm).
